SKEZI, a healthcare start-up based in Annecy, has just acquired Verbatim.Care, a patient data analysis platform using artificial intelligence and automatic language processing (ALP). It is another step forward for SKEZI. The e-health software solutions publisher specialising in data collection and enhancement is acquiring Verbatim.Care. This acquisition, announced at the beginning of January, will enable Skezi to strengthen its position in the medical sector. Specialising in collecting data directly from patients, carers and caregivers, Skezi provides solutions designed to improve clinical research, patient monitoring and care evaluation. The group, which has a turnover of €850,000 for 2023, employs 25 people and is looking to rapidly double its workforce.
Focus on AI
The digital platform Verbatim.Care was developed by the French start-up EntendsMoi. It specialises in the collection and analysis of patient feedback. Its unique feature is that it uses artificial intelligence and automatic language processing (ALP) algorithms to continuously analyse patient feedback. The artificial intelligence used is a proprietary French AI trained on more than 100,000 patient verbatims (testimonials). Launched in 2022, initially in a test phase with 9 healthcare organisations (clinics and hospitals), the solution has since been adopted by around fifty healthcare establishments in France. Thanks to its in-depth analysis of customer data, the solution provides a customised dashboard that centralises all sources of customer experience testimonials. This global picture gives professionals tangible levers for action to better manage this customer experience.
New AI building block
This strategic acquisition will enable Skezi to enhance its product portfolio, particularly its flagship offering, the SKEZIA software. SKEZIA is a customisable SaaS platform that enables healthcare professionals to create online questionnaires. While SKEZIA already incorporates artificial intelligence tools, the integration of Verbatim.care will further augment its capabilities, offering a more comprehensive solution. The integration of Verbatim.care technology will position Skezi as a more comprehensive platform, combining existing quantitative analysis with a stronger qualitative dimension, encompassing patient data such as impressions, satisfaction and complaints.
