PulseLife acquires Invivox and extends clinical decision support to continuing education

PulseLife acquiert Invivox et prolonge l'aide à la décision clinique par la formation continue

The 360 Medical group, parent company of PulseLife, a Lyon-based publisher of a clinical decision support solution, is acquiring Invivox, a continuing medical education platform. The transaction covers the entire share capital. The financial terms have not been disclosed. The new entity presents itself as the first European ecosystem combining decision support and training for healthcare professionals, with the ambition of becoming “the European benchmark for medical knowledge by 2029”.

Analysis by the experts at Auris Finance, M&A and financial engineering advisory firm.

Co-founded in Lyon in 2014 by Dr Grégoire Pigné, Clotilde Petit and Romain Bruckert under the name 360 medics, PulseLife develops a decision support solution for healthcare professionals. Its AI-based medical chatbot draws on a documentary database built with learned societies and medical institutions. The solution reports more than 900,000 professional users, including 420,000 doctors, 220,000 nurses and 43,000 pharmacists. Deployed in France and Spain, it is due to be launched in the United Kingdom shortly. A mission-driven company since 2024, it describes itself as “sovereign and profitable”.

Founded in 2016 by Julien Delpech and Patxi Ospital, Invivox operates a continuing medical education platform. Its model is based in particular on digital mentoring between healthcare professionals and experts. The platform reports having trained nearly one million healthcare professionals over ten years.

From clinical question to training module

The combination links two distinct moments in medical practice. PulseLife operates at the point of care, when the healthcare professional is seeking an answer to a clinical question. Invivox operates upstream and downstream, in maintaining and deepening skills. In practice, after querying the chatbot on a topic, professionals will be offered Invivox training modules to consolidate their knowledge.

The group presents this continuum as a response to “deskilling”, the gradual loss of skills among healthcare professionals who rely on the machine. “AI must strengthen the expertise of healthcare professionals, not replace it. With Invivox, every question asked becomes an opportunity to learn,” says Clotilde Petit, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of PulseLife.

The argument goes beyond ethical positioning. It gives the decision support tool an educational function and gives the training offering a daily entry point, rooted in real clinical situations.

The same population of healthcare professionals, two complementary uses

The two companies address the same audience: doctors, nurses and pharmacists, in both community and hospital settings. Each brings the other what it lacked. PulseLife has a broad user base and recurring use embedded in practice. Invivox contributes a catalogue of training content and expertise in instructional design.

For Invivox, joining PulseLife opens a distribution channel to several hundred thousand healthcare professionals who already use PulseLife. “The acquisition by PulseLife is a guarantee of acceleration for Invivox, enabling us to respond more comprehensively to our mission from day one: the ongoing training of healthcare professionals,” say Julien Delpech and Patxi Ospital. For PulseLife, the transaction extends the offering beyond one-off consultation and strengthens long-term user engagement.

Consolidation on a European scale

The transaction is part of a broader structuring of the e-health market. The executives cite the internationalisation of certain players in the sector as one of the reasons for the combination. The group highlights two French companies “sharing the same commitment to sovereignty and reliability“, an argument that carries weight with public healthcare institutions.

Hospital presence provides a foundation for this development. PulseLife is already used at AP-HP and the Hospices Civils de Lyon. A rollout is planned at Reims University Hospital, in its emergency, gynaecology and internal medicine departments. The new entity intends to build on these references to extend its integrated offering in France and Europe.
