Abaques Audiovisuel joins INCEPT Group

Audiovisuel

INCEPT Group, leader in digital workspaces, has announced the acquisition of Abaques, a company specialising in corporate communications and audiovisual solutions. The experts at AURIS Finance, a consultancy specialising in mergers and acquisitions, take a closer look at this latest market move.

Founded in 2004, Abaques specialises in audiovisual integration and technical solutions for events, ranging from meeting rooms and showrooms to auditoriums and educational facilities. With offices in Toulouse, Paris and Bordeaux, the group works for major clients such as Accor, Airbus, Pierre Fabre Laboratoires, Banque de France and the SNCF. Based in Toulouse, the SME employs forty people and generated a turnover of €12 million in 2023. The group stands out for its CSR strategy. At the beginning of 2024, Abaques Audiovisuel was awarded a platinum EcoVadis certificate, placing it in the top 1% of the world’s most virtuous companies.

A solution integrator

INCEPT Group was created in October 2022 from the merger of Onedirect and Wipple and is based in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of France. Specialising in the creation of digital workspaces, INCEPT Group helps companies optimise their performance by implementing collaborative working tools. The company has four areas of expertise: communications equipment distribution, telephony distribution, IT/AV integration and telecoms services. In 2022, following the merger, the group consolidated its offer by implementing a strategic plan and supplying 360° communication solutions, ranging from plug & play equipment for remote work to the full integration of videoconferencing solutions for collaborative workspaces. The group, which employs 200 people, generated sales of €75 million in 2024. It operates in eight countries and serves around 200,000 customers.

A Naxicap Partner

The merger of INCEPT Group and Abaques creates a new entity with a turnover of almost €90 million. It also strengthens the Group’s presence in France, with offices in Paris, Lille, Bordeaux, Marseille, Toulouse, Perpignan and Montpellier. Although the amount of the transaction was not disclosed, the inorganic growth strategy could continue in the coming months. In its strategic plan, the group has set itself the target of achieving a turnover of €200 million by 2026. To reach this goal, INCEPT can rely on its financial partners, specifically the private equity fund Naxicap Partner, which became a majority shareholder two years ago, alongside the founders and BNP Paribas Développement.

Our experts at your side

This latest acquisition underlines the importance of M&A strategies in the business support sector, where complementary expertise can be a powerful driver of growth and competitiveness. Inorganic growth can significantly increase market share and open up new geographical areas. This is the strategy adopted by the INCEPT Group, which is gaining ground in its four areas of expertise with the support of a private equity fund. Other companies could be targeted by the digital workspace specialist. AURIS finance’s experts are experienced in managing change and specialise in specific sectors to better support companies in their development projects. They will be at your side throughout your acquisitions and disposals.
