On April 22, 2026, Axomove announced a €4 million funding round aimed at accelerating the commercial rollout of its solution and supporting the company’s next phase of scale-up.
Series A Financing to Support Expansion
This new round comes four years after an initial €1.6 million seed financing.
The company intends to allocate the new funds across three strategic priorities:
- Expanding its commercial capabilities targeting corporates, insurers, and healthcare institutions
- Enhancing its technology platform, particularly in motion capture and gamification functionalities
- Doubling its workforce over the next three years
A Digital Rehabilitation and Prevention Platform
Founded in 2017 by physiotherapist Pierre-Yves Carlier, former professional handball player Boris Lévêque, and Alexandre Morel, the company initially focused on supporting physiotherapy practices in monitoring patient rehabilitation.
Since then, Axomove has broadened its positioning to become a digital health platform dedicated to tele-rehabilitation and preventive care, enabling patients to continue treatment remotely outside of physiotherapy clinics.
Strong Growth Momentum
Since launch, Axomove has demonstrated sustained growth. The company now serves 150 B2B clients across three core markets: hospitals, corporates, and insurance and mutual health providers.
Its client base includes major organizations such as Thales, Air France, Allianz, Lille University Hospital, and Ramsay Santé. The platform is currently used by 75,000 patients, compared with 25,000 in 2022.
Musculoskeletal disorders represent a major public health challenge in France, affecting one in two people during their lifetime and generating significant costs for both the healthcare system and employers.
Against this backdrop, remote prevention and rehabilitation solutions address a clear and growing market need.
Within the rehabilitation market, Axomove differentiates itself through Social Security reimbursement eligibility for patients suffering from lower back pain. Over time, the company aims to extend reimbursement coverage to additional conditions, including osteoarthritis and obesity.
Strong Institutional Investor Interest
This latest funding round brings Axomove the backing of major financial partners.
The Digital Prevention Fund, launched in February 2026 and managed by Bpifrance, has a total allocation of €100 million and is backed by Banque des Territoires, CNP Assurances, Harmonie Mutuelle, and Groupe Vivalto Santé.
The fund plans to invest in around fifteen innovative startups focused on primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention, with Axomove becoming its very first investment.
“At Axomove, we see a perfect illustration of our investment strategy: supporting the deployment of innovative solutions that deliver tangible preventive healthcare benefits in real-world settings while improving the efficiency of the healthcare system by reducing avoidable costs,” said Jean-Briac Lesné, Senior Investment Director within Bpifrance’s Autonomous Patient & Digital Prevention division, following the transaction.
The Rapid Rise of Medtech and Digital Health
In 2026, the global digital health market is valued at nearly $492 billion and is expected to exceed $2.35 trillion by 2034.
France is experiencing a similarly strong trajectory. The French digital health market, estimated at approximately $6.6 billion in 2024, is projected to grow at an annual rate of around 22% between 2025 and 2035.
According to EY France HealthTech Panorama data, French HealthTech companies raised €2.3 billion in 2025.
