Vivalians acquires Alcevi Formation and strengthens its regional footprint in industrial risk training

Vivalians acquiert Alcevi Formation et renforce son maillage territorial dans la formation aux risques industriels

In a professional training market that is rapidly consolidating, Vivalians is continuing to grow with the acquisition of Alcevi Formation. A coherent, well-targeted deal that illustrates the approach of a player methodically building its leading position in a heavily regulated segment.

Analysis by the experts at Auris Finance, advisors in mergers, acquisitions and financial engineering.

As of 31 March 2026, Alcevi Formation has joined Vivalians. The Normandy-based SME, located in Martin-l’Église near Dieppe and specialised since 2003 in training for the prevention and management of occupational risks, brings 10 Alcevi Formation employees on board, taking Vivalians‘s headcount to 95 in France.

The deal strengthens Vivalians‘s expertise in key areas: electrical work authorisations, scaffolding, CACES certifications and safety training aimed at local authorities, construction firms and industrial players. It also broadens the group’s regional footprint with a new training centre in the Aube department, close to the Nogent-sur-Seine nuclear power plant.

An acquisition driven by regional consolidation

What makes this deal coherent is the precision of its geographic and sector targeting. Located right next to the Nogent-sur-Seine nuclear plant, Alcevi Formation strengthens Vivalians‘s catalogue particularly in nuclear and asbestos removal training, two strategic priorities for its growth.

The Alcevi Formation acquisition follows the takeover of training provider Formamiante in 2023. Vivalians now operates eight training centres across France. Each deal targets a specific skill, an identified geography and an industrial client base already in place: the signature of a disciplined build-up.

Christophe Desmouliere, managing director of Alcevi Formation, confirms the rationale behind the combination: “This combination allows us to pool our skills, combine our areas of expertise and enrich our respective training catalogues, for the benefit of our clients and partners.

A structurally buoyant market, driven by regulation

What makes Vivalians‘s positioning particularly solid is the very nature of its market. Workplace safety training is not a discretionary expense for industrial companies: it is a regulatory requirement. CACES certifications, electrical work authorisations, asbestos and nuclear training are mandated by law, renewed at regular intervals, and subject to increasingly demanding standards.

The French professional training market is worth more than 32 billion euros, with momentum driven in particular by tighter workplace safety regulations, rising CSR expectations and the energy transition, which is creating new certification needs in nuclear and renewable energies. In this environment, players able to offer a broad catalogue, covering several types of risk and several industrial sectors, have a structural commercial advantage over single-discipline providers.

That is precisely what Vivalians is building: a workplace risk training platform able to support its key accounts across all their certification needs, in a growing number of regions. The Alcevi Formation acquisition adds a geographic piece, the Aube, and a sector piece, Nogent’s nuclear ecosystem, as part of a planned, financed strategy.
