Total Specific Solutions (TSS) successfully integrates French company Dolist

Martech

Dolist, a company based in the Gironde region, has joined Total Specific Solutions (TSS), an international group of B2B software publishers. Here is an explanation and analysis by experts from AURIS Finance, a consultancy specialising in mergers and acquisitions.

Dolist, the French specialist in SaaS solutions for marketing campaigns, is being taken over by Total Specific Solutions (TSS), an international group of B2B software publishers based in the Netherlands and owned by the Canadian company Constellation Software Inc. (CSI).

French MarTech

Dolist, a French company founded in 2000 and based in Mérignac, has distinguished itself in the software market through its SaaS platform, which is dedicated to the design, automation and routing of email and SMS campaigns. The company has leveraged MarTech (a portmanteau combining marketing and technology) solutions to optimise, automate and analyse marketing strategies, with a focus on enhancing the personalisation of campaigns according to customer or prospect needs. The group has a total of 500 clients from various sectors such as public administration, culture, tourism and insurance. Thanks to this integration, Dolist gains access to CSI’s international network of more than 1,200 B2B software publishers. This merger will enable exchanges with other MarTech players in the group with a view to accelerating innovation and adopting best practices.

TSS is consolidating its position in Europe

This strategic acquisition is in line with TSS’s growth strategy in Europe, where it is already active in sectors such as healthcare, real estate and cybersecurity. This latest move will further strengthen TSS’s expertise in digital marketing, while Dolist will complement the group’s existing solutions in Europe. Over the past few years, TSS has completed several mergers in Europe. A year ago, it acquired Aviva Voice, a leader in the Spanish market, which became the eighth company to join TSS in Spain. TSS now employs 3,900 people in Europe and has around 100 software publishing companies within its organisation.

A preserved independence

This integration nevertheless leaves significant room for manoeuvre for the French company, which will continue to operate as an independent entity within TSS, while benefiting from access to resources. TSS has adopted a decentralised model that allows each acquired company to continue to operate autonomously while benefiting from the group’s financial support, best practices and expertise. This approach favours the development of companies in their specific vertical markets, while strengthening TSS’s presence in various sectors and European countries. The current management team, comprising Denis Olivier (CTO) and Jean-Paul Meilhanne (CEO), will continue to oversee operations, ensuring continuity and facilitating the company’s growth.

Our experts at your service

In order to facilitate growth through the opening up to new markets, TSS has adopted a unique model. It involves preserving the specific characteristics of the acquired companies, with the commercial brands and management teams remaining unchanged. This approach allows the company to continue its development within its local market while also enabling the pooling of innovation and development of new tools among the various entities. The MarTech sector is currently experiencing significant investment, with artificial intelligence set to accelerate automation processes, provided that the necessary tools are invested in.
