On 31 March 2022, RUZÉ’s former shareholders handed over the reins of the family business to YNOVAE agricultural cooperative.
Founded in 1870, RUZÉ has become a key player in the trade of cereals (wheat, maize, barley), oilseeds (rapeseed, sunflower) and protein crops (peas) in its region. More than 50,000 tonnes are harvested each year.
Managed by Sophie Ruzé – who belongs to the third generation of the family –, the company has recently extended its business activities to implants (fertilisers, phytosanitary products) and exports its products in France and abroad.
Based in Migennes and Champloiseau (Yonne), RUZÉ employs around 15 people and generates a €15m turnover.
YNOVAE agricultural cooperative figures are a €120 million turnover, 380,000 tonnes of annual harvesting, 24 grain silos, 104 employees and 912 members. SÉNOGRAIN is the trading subsidiary which take care of the cooperative’s field crop harvesting and supply activities business.
RUZÉ’s handover to YNOVAE agricultural cooperative is based on the complementarity of their activities and their geographical proximity, as well as on the sharing of common values, ensuring the company’s longevity.
