Formerly known as Reworld Media, Unify Group has built its track record in media and events. With this acquisition, the group is crossing a line: the one that separates a media business from a B2C services business. By taking on a network of higher education and vocational training institutions generating close to 90 million euros in annual revenue, Unify Group is taking Ed’Learn to a new scale and laying the foundations for a third strategic pillar.

Unify Group has announced the acquisition of a network of higher education and vocational training institutions. The deal strengthens Ed’Learn, the group’s training and skills development arm. The acquisition was completed for a few million euros, with management not disclosing the exact amount.
What investors will immediately notice is the gap between the price paid and the revenue acquired. In 2026, the deal is expected to bring an additional 45 million euros of revenue to the group. Unify Group is once again demonstrating its expertise in acquiring assets at discounted valuations, a skill already honed in the media sector.
A network covering the entire training journey
What sets this acquisition apart is the coherence and depth of the network being integrated. It covers three distinct stages of the training journey, with no overlap.
From career guidance to entry into the workforce, three business schools: Ascencia Business School, E2SE Business School and Euclea Business School, which together count around 4,000 students and close to 300 employees across more than 10 campuses.
From upskilling to adapting to changing job profiles, Comundi, IFOCOP and ELFE Paris together train close to 20,000 learners each year through programmes designed to meet the transformation challenges facing companies.
From career change to a sustained return to employment, IRFA Formation supports close to 25,000 learners each year. Active in several French regions for nearly fifty years, this long-standing player has more than 285 employees.
In total, close to 50,000 learners pass through this network each year, a volume that gives it a significant position in the French training market.
A deliberate and consistent diversification
Gautier Normand, CEO of Unify Group, sets out the vision: “This acquisition marks a new stage in the building of Unify Group. It strengthens our presence in the education and training markets, which are now emerging as major issues in the face of the economic, technological and societal changes that are reshaping skills needs in the long term. By joining Ed’Learn, these institutions and their teams will contribute to the development of a learning-focused division, fully complementary to our media and events activities.”
This complementarity is not just rhetoric. A media group that has mastered audiences and content has assets that translate naturally into the training sector: brand recognition, editorial capacity, and access to corporate advertisers, who are also major buyers of training services. The convergence between media and training is an underlying trend in the sector; Unify Group is choosing to accelerate it through external growth rather than wait for it to play out.
A structurally buoyant professional training market
The French professional training market is worth more than 32 billion euros, with momentum driven in particular by regulatory requirements, rising CSR expectations and the reshaping of skills tied to artificial intelligence. In this environment, players able to offer a training continuum, from initial education to career change, have a structural commercial advantage over single-discipline operators.
