IA Santé

Software publisher Lundi Matin has just acquired IT school Diginamic, in a move that will further its ambition to help businesses develop their AI skills. Read on for analysis and insights from AURIS Finance, a consultancy specialising in mergers and acquisitions.

Montpellier-based Lundi Matin, a publisher of management software (ERP, cash register, catering, e-commerce), has just announced the acquisition of IT school Diginamic.

The deal forms part of Lundi Matin’s overall strategy to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its solutions. The group provides solutions for retail chains and the hospitality sector, including cash and collection software. Lundi Matin has 200 employees and a turnover of €18 million. It is also active in the digital sector, providing solutions for e-tailers and marketplaces. The group deploys management solutions such as ERM and CRM. Over the past two years, it has increased its use of artificial intelligence.

AI as a strategic performance lever

The group intends to roll out this latest component more widely by creating new training courses dedicated to artificial intelligence and focused on the needs of businesses. To this end, Lundi Matin embarked on a €5 million investment plan two years ago. This substantial investment has enabled the group to design and integrate proprietary AI technology into its LMB platform, on which its various software offerings (including ERP, checkout, catering and e-commerce solutions) are based.

The group is also committed to establishing a private research centre. “Our aim is to become the leading French private research centre for generative artificial intelligence in software engineering,” explained the group’s CEO, Benjamin Chalande. To this end, Lundi Matin is collaborating with several CNRS research centres, as well as leading schools, to incorporate research laboratory skills into their curricula. The group has now joined forces with Diginamic, an artificial intelligence training school that focuses on four areas: development; data and AI; AMOA project management; and networks and cybersecurity. The group is Qualiopi-certified and offers degree courses in both classroom and distance learning formats.

An exponential market

Mastering the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools has become a highly strategic issue for businesses, particularly for sales specialists. According to a recent study, 88% of marketers who use AI report improved personalisation of their customer campaigns. Nevertheless, many sales and marketing specialists feel that they are not sufficiently trained in using these new tools. Consequently, 54% of marketers admit to feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of incorporating AI tools into their work environment.

Our experts at your service

Driven by the development of artificial intelligence, the world of sales — whether digital or physical — is undergoing profound change. Although sales-dedicated software management platforms already make extensive use of AI, not all their customers are familiar with it. By acquiring a dedicated school, Lundi Matin is establishing itself as a global player and helping its customers implement and master these new tools. New developments could be on the horizon.
