Matthew BALDWIN: International Expertise in Complex Transactions
Born in the United Kingdom and a graduate of the University of Nottingham, Matthew is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, registered with the Paris Order of Chartered Accountants, and a CFA® Charterholder. His diverse expertise enables him to navigate complex financial structures and address varying constraints across different countries.
Throughout his career, Matthew has worked for leading consultancy firms such as PwC, Grant Thornton, and the multinational corporate CPI. He has successfully managed dozens of M&A projects, including business sales, acquisitions, fundraising, restructurings, and carve-outs. His versatility allows him to handle the entire transactional cycle, from pre-acquisition activities (Transaction Services) through to Post-Merger Integration.
AURIS Finance International: An Obvious Expansion
Matthew BALDWIN’s appointment aligns with AURIS Finance’s goal of expanding its services beyond France. As head of our outsourced M&A service, he supports international corporations, family offices, and investment funds with their growth strategies in France and abroad.
In an uncertain domestic economic environment, seeking financing abroad is a prudent move. Cross-border mergers are becoming increasingly viable solutions. In 2023 and 2024, the proportion of target acquisitions outside Europe by French companies doubled, compared with 2020-2022.
