As part of its Horizon 2027 strategic roadmap, the Cérèsia cooperative group has announced the acquisition of Reims-based craft brewery La Bouquine. With Auris Finance acting as advisor to the seller, La Bouquine joins a cooperative group committed to a diversification strategy.
La Bouquine: a craft brewery rooted in Reims
Based in Reims, La Bouquine is a craft brewery recognised for the quality of its beer range, distributed regionally to bars and restaurants, as well as at the brewery’s on-site bar. With an annual output of 1,600 hectolitres, it enjoys a size and a reputation that underpin solid economic stability, against a backdrop of rising consumption of quality beers. Its product range is set to be expanded to keep pace with the latest consumer trends.
Cérèsia: a cooperative group diversifying its activities and strengthening its local roots
This investment fits into the second pillar of Cérèsia’s Horizon 2027 strategic roadmap, which aims to diversify the group’s activities in order to reduce the exposure of its input supply and grain collection business to fluctuations in agricultural markets.
The deal also reflects Cérèsia’s ambition to strengthen its local roots. Developing short supply chain projects, which showcase local agricultural resources, is a key pillar of the group’s development strategy.
The agricultural cooperative group, whose activity has historically revolved around grain production, finds in this acquisition a complementary outlet for its grain: brewing represents a processing stage that allows the group to operate directly downstream of its value chain, all the way to the finished product.
A transmission deal supporting La Bouquine’s long-term future
The deal illustrates La Bouquine’s ambition to continue its development by joining a structured cooperative group, while building on local resources and expertise. It allows the brewery to pursue its growth within a group committed to short supply chains and local roots.
