Logistics transport truck The DUCOURNEAU transport group continues its growth ambitions by acquiring Réseau Transport Mauduit-Distribution (RTMD), thereby strengthening its presence in western France. Founded in 1995, Réseau Transport Mauduit Distribution (RTMD) specializes in road freight transport, operating from its site in Château-Renault, Indre-et-Loire. With 120 employees and a fleet of 70 trucks, RTMD generates €11 million in turnover. In February 2025, RTMD joined the Ducournau Group, a major player in transport and logistics in France, based in Var.
DUCOURNEAU Group: A Family Business with National Ambitions
Founded in 1973 by Jean-Pierre Ducournau, the Ducournau Group offers comprehensive logistics, storage, order preparation, and freight transport services across much of France, Belgium, and Italy. With eight agencies in seven strategic regions of France, the company employs 750 people and operates over 800 vehicles and 75,000 m² of warehouses, achieving nearly €70 million in turnover in 2024. Controlled Growth
In perpetual development, the Ducournau Group aims to reach €100 million in turnover and employ 1,000 people. To achieve this, it is making targeted acquisitions. In early 2024, the group finalized the purchase of RIZZO TRANSPORT, based in Gaillac, to cover southwestern France. The acquisition of RTMD marks a new step in this growth strategy.
