The transport and logistics specialist has made a further acquisition in the Paris region. In the summer of 2024, Dimotrans Global Transport completed the acquisition of AS team. This takeover will allow the group to reinforce its operational capabilities in the Île-de-France region and integrate renowned expertise in the luxury goods sector. AS team was established in 2001 in Mitry-Mory (77) and specialises in international road transport, with a particular focus on the upmarket textile sector. The company is distinguished by its expertise in international logistics, with established networks in Turkey, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
An Ile-de-France hub
This integration will facilitate the group’s transition into a new phase of development. Dimotrans has established a significant logistics hub in the Paris region through a series of strategic acquisitions. In Seine-et-Marne, the group now owns a cross-docking site, a logistics platform where goods can be transferred directly from one vehicle to another, without passing through intermediate storage. The platform, which also comprises two warehouses with a total area of 5,000 square metres, is equipped to handle import/export groupage operations to and from all European countries and Turkey.
Sector-specific expertise
Dimotrans stands out for its comprehensive range of services, including international road transport, multimodal transport, supply chain management and efficient management of goods flows with a 10,000 square metre logistics platform. In 2021, the group announced a turnover of €744 million, representing an 89.7% year-on-year increase. This growth demonstrates Dimotrans’s expansion over the past four decades, transforming from a modest transport enterprise to a prominent player in logistics and international transportation.
Aggressive growth
In order to achieve this, the group has diversified its activities, expanded its geographical presence and made a number of strategic acquisitions, most recently that of AS team. Over the past four years, the group has also acquired several targets. In 2021, it acquired CRYSTAL group, a provider of air, sea and customs transport services, thereby strengthening its position in overseas and customs services. One year later, the group proceeded with the acquisition of Soretrans, thereby reinforcing its presence in western France. In 2023, Dimotrans acquired 100% of the Duhamel group, a major logistics provider specialising in the perfume, cosmetics, luxury goods and e-commerce sectors. An acquisition that significantly strengthened the group’s contract logistics capabilities.
